The way of Ruin


Intro, He crawled from the abyss.

The sky was dark on a cold evening, a green light illuminated the horizon. This is when he showed up. He crawled up from the abyss, in his hands he carried two sliver revolvers with blood red skulls above the handle. His garb was a duster trench coat and a large rimed hat the was pulled down to hide his eyes that glowed a bright blood red. He walked with an evil stride, darkness seemed to fallow him as he walked into my saloon. He walked right up to the counter and asked in a grunged voice "I'll take a whiskey on the rocks." I stared as I served him, he had something to say about this "Hey, do you have a problem?" I was scared stiff but I was able to say "No.. no sir." He turned and walked out and I never saw him again......

Chapter 1: Black Tower

"I have walked this land for twenty years looking for what I don't know, but in this time I have seen much of the foolish mortals, I've seen their hardships, and I've seen what makes a man a man. But this is nothing to me for I have found what the powers of Heaven and Hell wanted me to find and now I'm going to kill you Greavous, for I'm the hunter of Heaven and Hell, I am the reaper of blackend souls, I am Ruin." Ruin stood staring at a wanted poster with the demonic mug of Greavous. Ruin swiped the poster from the post and walked off into the darkness.

Four days later Ruin strutted into a graveyard just as the old clock hit midnight. At this time the damned bone-yard came to life and turned into a true necropolis, all sorts of creatures spood up from the bellows of the graveyard. Ruin grinned "This seems to be the place." Ruin took to steps then a rumble came from the center of the graveyard as a large black tower rose up, and then a howl came from it that sent a gale bearling at Ruin. The gale hit him but he didn't move a bit, he just held on to his hat. Ruin glanced up after the gale passed and four eminence monsters stood before him. The apparent lead stepped forward and spoke "You will leave or we will make this headstone city for the damned your new home." Ruin let out a bellowing laugh and chuckled out "You four fools think you could take me, You couldn't touch my let alone kill me." this enraged the four guards and another gale cam over them. As Ruins duster danced in the wind the four guard rushed him, ruin evaded all of their attacks and stopped the lead in his tracks with a knee to a stomach that wasn't their. Ruin pulled a revolver from it holster and put it the the leads head "Well you feel pain. Now take me to what ever is making that DAMN NOISE, and I mean NOW!" the lead nodded and stood they walked toward the black tower, all un-dead eyes fallowed them. The tower was worse all sorts of evil lost souls screamed from the walls. The group of five made it to a door at the top of the tower. With a small chuckle the four guards vanished. Ruin opened the door and stepped in.

When Ruin took a few steps in he saw nothing but normal bedroom stuff, but he felt a demonic presence. Ruin walked to a chair in the center of the room and sat facing to bed. A few minutes passed and a pair of green eyes appeared from a shadow in the corner next to the bed "Well you saw through my cloak. Well good for you." A course voice called to him and a tall thin man stepped out of the shadow.

Ruin stood "I'm looking for a monster do you know where he is?" Ruin held out the poster that had Greavous on it. The man took the poster "Well...well I know many monsters and this one happens to be the worst of them all. But I will not tell you where he is, on the bright side you will meet your death at my hand." The man chuckled before taking a deep breath and howling out a huge gale that trow Ruin to the wall. Ruin got to his feet gasping for air, the air seemed to come slow and with much pain. Ruin cringed "You will die a horrid death for that." Ruin charged the man kneeing him in the gut just below the ribs taking his breath. Ruin let the man stumble back "Now whats your name so I know what to put on you headstone." Gasping for air the man slowly got out "They call me The Keeper." Ruin grinned "Well Keeper time to meet you fate." Ruin charged once again kneeing him in the head, then sent a round house kick to his head the Keeper slid a bit and quickly turned snapping his figures as Ruin ran toward him. Two of his guard came from no where and tackled Ruin Ruin hit the ground and for the second time his breath was taken.

Ruin got to his feet and know he was really pissed, even a blind man could see it in his eyes as they glowed a hateful blood red. Ruin ran full speed and jumped into the air kicking the two guard and pulling his revolvers in one motion shot them down. He turned to the scrambling Keeper and shot his left knee then the right, "I told you a horrid death." He then shot his hands, twice in the gut and once in the balls. Now standing Ruin laughed "Now lets stop the play, where is Greavous?" The Keeper mumbled "I don't know.... I don't know he just passed through here and took a scroll." Ruin glared at him "Right...and I'm Clint fucking Eastwood!" and pulled the trigger shooting Keeper in the balls once more "No really I don't know but I do know of someone that dose, the person lives in Blood Hollow.... that's all I know." Ruin grinned "Alright, I think your telling the truth. Good boy now say good bye." Ruin pointed the silver gleaming revolver at Keepers head and before Keeper could mutter out good Ruin put a bullet in his head. Keep fell to the floor and Ruin walked out laughing.


Chapter 2: Blood Hollow and the Vampire queen

Ruin walked up to the gates of Blood Hollow. The gate was a huge rod iron Gothic style and had a few signs hanging from it saying beware and turn back. Ruin grinned and jumped the gates with ease, and he walk a mile into the Hollow before coming up on a couple feeding vampires. The were in thralled in the catch, Ruin watched them as the caressed the victim in a sensual manner making him relax as then couple bit into his neck. The young man wined in pain he became very tense, clinching his fist, and then he went limp. He turned ghostly pale and fell to the ground. The two vampires became aware of Ruin and grinned as blood dripped from their chins. Ruin grinned back and said in a mocking tone "You two think, I am you next meal. Well your wrong, and if you don't run you'll find yourselves in hell. Now what do you plan on doing you vampiric whelps." The two looked at each other then ran toward Ruin, Ruin stood chuckling "You fools." Ruin sent his foot to the face of the male vampire and pulled a revolver from it holster shooting him in the chest. The vampire arch his back in pain and turned to ash, the female ran to his side. She stood and with a look of rage on her face she stared at Ruin saying "You will pay for what you have done." Ruin replied "How? Are you going to do something about his death?" She ran at him claws ready to gash his heart out. Ruin evaded all of her attacks and wrapped his hand around her neck, he licked the blood from her lips "I'm sorry you have to die like this." Ruin shoved his revolver in between her breast and shot her. he held be her throat as she turned to ash.

Ruin continued to wonder to wood looking for some kind of clue or person to tell him where to find this person. He finally stumbled upon a small village that was a bustle until he walked in then everyone stopped and looked. Ruin took a look around "So Where can I find this great all powerful vampire I need to ask him a question." The whole populous laughed at him. Ruin now kinda pissed yelled "What are you laughing at I can easily kill every single one of you. You bunch of weak fools. Now tell me where the vampire lord is NOW!" Ruins voice shook the trees and all went silent. One person stepped forward and said "What nerve you have coming in are village as we try to look for a couple that went missing they said they would be back by now. You come waltzing in and yell..." Just then Ruin shot him and blurted out a few obscenities before "You pompous fool, Ok I think I should tell you, I killed that couple they attacked me I gave them all the time in the world to just leave but they wouldn't have it. Now can someone tell me where the vampire lord is. I am looking for someone." A kid walked out and looked at Ruin "Is my dad going to die?" and then he pointed to the man he just shot. Ruin knelt down and said in a gruff voice "Well I don't think so you vampires bounce back from normal flesh wounds really nice. I think he'll be fit as ever after a while of rest." Ruin smiled at the kid kindly, not a thing Ruin dose often. The boys mother popped out and said "You will find are master in a mansion up on the old mountain road to the north of are town." Ruin nodded and started to walk north up a mountain road. After three days of walking Ruin stopped at the gates of an old mansion that seemed run down. Ruin pushed the gate open and it fell "Hmm... They need to fix that." He stepped forward and looked around the large courtyard unknowing if the vampire lord was even here. It was getting dark out so he let himself in and started to look around. To his amazement he found that their was a beautiful women walking around, she was not really pale so he thought she was a human not a vampire, he thought wrong when he got close she turned baring fangs. Ruin grinned "Well a day walker, I've herd things but never thought I would meet one. Where is the vampire lord." The vampire stood straight "Your looking at her." her voice so soft, Ruin replied "No really where is he." this pissed her and she lashed out drawing her hunters knife, Ruin stood stunned as she pressed a blade to his throat. Ruin wide eyed "Ok I believe you put your butter knife away." The women became even more enraged and spat "You insult my title, and now my weapon." Ruin grinned "Well I have one up on you hon." ruin pulled back the hammer on his revolver that was pointed at her gut. "Now would you put your knife away. I have a few questions for you." She backed off "Well, lets start off again. My name is Julia Demise or Queen Demise, I am the ruler of the vampires ever seance my father died. Your name would be.." Ruin put his revolver away and took his hat off bowing a little keeping his deep brown eyes on her "People call me Ruin... But my name in a former life was Micheal Sinth, but that was so long ago." Ruin straightened up and looked her over "I am looking for someone His name is Greavous." Ruin held out the poster. She took it "Yes I know him and I know where you can find him but it will be hard for you to get their." She smiled at him looking at her so intent. "Now you must be tired I can see it on your face. come with me I'll give you a place to stay as long as you wish."

Ruin was only going to stay one night but after a few long talks it seemed that he lost track of time. He fell for her she could see it, one night they where sitting on a sofa and were talking and she touched his hand and he put a hand on her thigh, they were kissing, they moved to the bed room where they had the best sex of her life and his lives. they lay their holding each other for a whole day. Julia looked into his eyes "Greavous is in a land with a ground of fire hot sand and a red unforgiving sun that dries the moisture from the air. This land has a towering stone animal with a the body of a lion and the head of a man. You must go south east and cross a sea ruled be a God wielding a trident. The trip will be grueling, but if you make it their you can make it back. Ruin... I love you, you come back to me once you kill Greavous." Ruin looked deep into her eyes and saw that she was true "I will come back to you, No monster, god, or demon will stop me. I love you as well." Ruin stood putting on his cloths "You may call me Micheal if you wish Julia." Ruin put his duster on and flipped out his long hair letting it fall on his shoulders. Before Ruin put his hat on he bent down and kissed Julia "I'll see you." And Ruin walked out.

Ruin walked out of the mansion and looked back for the first time seance they forced him to be in this world. He saw her wrapped in a sheet looking down at him, he smiled. Ruin turned and started to walk off into the the wood heading south east he checked his compose three times "I will do all that I can to come back to you my love." Ruin walked for days with little rest. Ruin was quickly getting tired. A few days later Ruin found himself in a city made of white stone and all the impenitence stared at him as their garb was slightly different from his. Most of the men had almost nothing on, partly because of the heat, and they all were fit to fight. Ruin walked carefully. One of the men came to him.

Chapter 3: The White City
The city of Warriors

The large man stepped forward and started to ask Ruin many questions "You. Are you new here? Why have you came, why is your grab so dark?" Ruin glared at the man "Whats it to you. Yes, I'm new but I am just passing through I'm headed south east." Ruin looked the man over "Where am I and whats with every man being in a fighter shape." The man laughed "Why.. you are in the White City or as many others call it The City of Warriors. We are a warrior race ready to lay down are lives for are land, by are law we will never surrender, never retreat, we will fight till the very last man." Ruin nodded "Well that's all well and good, I am looking for a sea that is ruled by a God with a trident. I must cross this sea to hunt down and kill this man." Ruin held out the poster. The man looked at the poster and became enraged "That man came here and took out a hundred of are best men and then left, like he got bored with us. You don't even look strong enough to face him one on one." Ruin grinned "I may die, but I was sent to kill him so I shall at all cost. Plus I think I can take anyone of your best." The man looked at him funny "Well friend your looking at a Commander in are great army and if you wish I'll fight you." Ruin peered up from under his hat "Sure, when and where?" The man smiled "Here and now... my name is Leo." Ruin took off his hat and coat "I see why you all don't have a lot on its hot. Oh they call my Ruin." Ruin took off his guns and took his stance. Leo smiled "Well you get use to it when you live with it. Ruin! As in death?" Ruin looked at Leo "Yes I was named that by the powers of heaven and hell I am their hunter." Ruin's eye started to glow blood red. Leo chuckled "Well I see why they sent you. You both have the same eyes."

Leo rushed Ruin grabbing his shoulder and punching him in the gut. Ruin grinned "Well he comes from hell as do I, but I fight to for both sides, not just for my self like him." Ruin kneed Leo a few times in the gut and sent a upper cut flying. Leo grabbed his arm and punched him in the face. Ruin countered with a kick to his ribs, and a knee to the side off his head. Leo grabbed his side "Nice kick you broke a few ribs." Leo came at Ruin grabbing him by the throat and kneed him in the gut a few times. Ruin grinned as took pleasure in wrapping himself around Leo's arm throwing Leo off balance and put him in a pain full submission. Leo winced but never once cried out, Ruin lost his grip on Leo's arm and they got to their feet once again. They exchanged blows the crowd around them slowly dissipated as the sun set. Ruin and Leo stood opposite of each other and they both laughed Ruin left his stance and stood straight "I see that their isn't going to be a winner here, unless I use more of my power. I will not risk hurting a new friend." Ruin held out his hand. Leo smiled "I knew you where holding back. I felt it in your punch." Leo took Ruin's and gave it a good shake. "Now you will stay at my place. Then in the morning I will take you to the sea so you can get that monster."

Upon reaching the well kept house two young girls ran out screaming daddy. He reached out and picked them up in his arms. Ruin looked on, then a young boy appeared at his feet "Whats you name sir?" Ruin looked down "Well my name is Ruin, I am a friend of Leo." Leo looked over and called out "Son how about you go get ready for bed, and take your sisters. Leo walk over and put his arm around Ruin "Well buddy lets go meet the wife." They walked over to the door where his wife was standing. Leo went to her wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her on her check "Hun I'd like you to meet are guest Ruin. He is passing through and I thought he could use refuge in are house until the morning then he will go on his way." She look Ruin over and agreed with it "So Ruin... It is nice to meet you." Ruin tipped his hat and "The pleasure is mine." Ruin walked in after Leo and took off his hat. The whole family sat for dinner with Ruin to the left of Leo across from Leo's wife.

The next morning Ruin woke up before his host. The only one that was up was Leo's wife. Ruin walked into the kitchen and sat at the table silent rubbing his eye, he had just came out of a nightmare that he had ever seance he took the offer to become a hunter. Leo's wife stared at him noticing his burn on his right shoulder "How did you get that?" she said pointing at his scar. Ruin looked over at the burn "Its my branding, It shows all that know of it that I'm a hunter, and not in a good way. When I first got it the branding stretched all the way to my knuckles, its like a curse on me and I must do as the powers say to fulfill my debt and only then can I live." She looked at him softly "So what are you saying your some kind of demon?" Ruin looked up "Yeah something like that. Only I answer to both sides." She nodded "I'll go get Leo." With that she left him, a few moments later Leo came in a patted him on the back "Well lets get going. We got some walking to do." Leo Kissed his wife good bye and Ruin grab his things, and waved.

They walked for half a day and finally reached the bank side where a ship waited. Leo looked over to Ruin "This is my ship I shall take you over to the country across this sea. Now lets get going." Leo and Ruin boarded the ship Ruin looked at Lao"This is all to much." Leo protested "No I planed on going to gather up some imports." and with that they set out across the sea. As they reached the center of the sea all wind stopped. Leo starched his head "Well this is odd." then a giant rose up from the depths. Ruin stood glaring at this God "You must be this God I herd of. If you will give us some wind I kinda need to get to the other side of this sea." The God sniped back "I will give you wind when I feel like it half-blood." Ruins eyes turned a angry blood red "I might be half demon, but that gives you no right to hinder my guest that your leader put me on. So give us a gentle gale please I must kill the one called Greavous. I feel him gain strength." The god bent down "I hate the Greavous so I'll give you a fast gentle wind. next time hold your tongue I might not be so generous." The wind came back and they moved on swiftly making the voyage in half the time it would normally take. Ruin stepped off the ship and gave Leo's hand on last good shake before parting.

Chapter 4: The Land of Bestly Gods

Ruin walked into a small village under a sub zero night sky. His eyes blood red, Ruin kept stride like he didn't feel the cold. Ruin saw a chance for shelter and took it. That morning Ruin woke with a heavy heat and a hundred voices. He stood and asked the women in front of him if she had seen Greavous. She didn't understand him, so he pulled out the poster and with fear in her eyes she slowly moved away. Ruin held out his hand and slowly said "Do you know where this person is?" he made a bunch of hand motions trying to convey his message, it seemed to work she pointed to a larged temple of some kind that was surrounded by four large spires. Ruin nodded and started to walk to the temple, he took not two steps beyond the spire when a Man-hound jumped down in front of him. Ruin took guard as the thing spoke a tongue that Ruin did not under stand. Ruin spoke back "I don't know what you saying. I am looking for a monster known as Greavous. Where is he I shall kill him." The thing understood that and yelled "No! You will die by my hand!" Ruin grinned "Listen it is hot and I am really pissed so if you don't leave I'll have no choice but to rip you apart." The thing didn't hesitate to attack, Ruin jumped out of the way, jumping onto the spire digging his finger tips into the side of it "All right you wish to die so be it." Ruin's eyes started to use half of his power, his clothes started to fill as his muscle grew in size. Ruin jumped down and kick the beast in the head. As soon as the thing hit the scorching sand three other beasts came to his aid.

Ruin saw what he was up against "Well another wimp bringing in help. So be it I'll kill all of you." Ruin wasted no time in killing the one he started on. Ruin turned to the other three "I'm going to grant you the honor of seeing me at full power. Ruins eyes became a deep blood red and his cloths stretched with the increase in muscle mass. Ruin ripped the three beast apart limb by limb, "Now you see your error. You fucked with something stronger then you." At that very moment the sky turned black and a bright light came from the temple, then out of the light came a tall beast that called his self Zenthro. Zentro towered above Ruin, he even made Leo look like a normal man. Zenthro attacked Ruin swiping him liked a bug with his fist sending Ruin flying into the spire. The spire crashed to the ground. Ruin stood up and rushed Zenthro "You whelp! I'll kill you!" Ruin sent his knee into the beast's gut, then sent a flood of punches and kicks to the beast's body. Zenthro took every hit "Enough! I will teach you to provoke a Gods wrath!" Zenthro upper cutting Ruin in the gut lifting him off the ground, then with a wave of his hand sent Ruin skidding across the sand. Ruin slowly got to his feet "I don't care what you are you happen to be in my way of killing a monster. So I will kill a god!" Ruin pulled his revolvers from their holsters, rushing the God Zenthro Ruin leaped over him and by the time Zentro turned around Ruin had a revolver pointed at his forehead. Ruins gun was charged with all the power he could muster, he now looked like normal Ruin. Ruin stared into Zenthro's eyes "You will know die!" Ruin pulled the trigger and Zenthro dropped to his knees as his brains stained the sand.

Ruin fed on his soul and gained the power to control wind. Ruin used this power to fly. Ruin flew to the next city, touching down another beast attacked him. Ruin picked him up by its hair and throat, flying high into the air Ruin asked it a few questions "why did you attack me? Who sent you? Tell me or I'll kill you!" Ruin will kill him any way. the beast struggled out "I was told to stop you. Greavous sent me..." Ruin snapped "Where is Greavous?" The Beast was relucktent to say but spit it out after a short free fall "He is west of this city in a town with in a fortress. He resides inside a temple at its center. Just let me down." Ruin grinned "Ok..," Ruin shoved a knife into the beasts gut, and let him fall "Have a nice day." Ruin flew down to the city and stared west with great speed. Ruin stopped flying thinking that it would make him stand out too much.

Ruin was half way there when a sand demon jumped out from a hole. Ruin dealt with it and went on his way. Ruin found a new way to travel, he fed on the demons soul gaining the ability to travel under the sand. This took to much energy, Ruin started walking once again. When a few more pets of Greavous came to stop him it was no surprise. Ruin killed the whole batch. Ruin took wave after wave of Greavous's army all fell at Ruins feet. The last wave came only two beasts. Ruin laughed "Only two of you. well Greavous must be running low on men." The two attacked injuring Ruin. As they rushed him Ruin saw familiar markings on them. They where hunters from the past. Ruin stood "You two are hunters?" They answered "We were hunters. Now we serve Greavous." Ruin countered killing one but the other grabbed Ruin and slammed him down. Ruin cried out in pain, as his shoulder dislocated and ribs broke. Ruin stood hunched over he disappeared into the sand, reappearing behind the former hunter "You fool... I win... Now DIE!" Ruin pulled the trigger and the hunter fell. Ruin followed. The hunter was not dead yet, he rolled over "Ruin I have a gift for you. I see so clearly now Greavous's cloud has been lifted." The hunter gave Ruin the rest of his life energy, healing Ruin's wounds and granting him the power to use his full potential.Ruin walked into the fortifide town. Ruin's eyes are a pure blood red, Ruins clothes tattered from the many waves of Greavous's army. Ruin sunck into the sand making a chamber he slept. The next day Ruin made his plans, knowing if Greavous was able to get hunters to help him he must be quit strong. Ruin was careful he wished to see his love once again. Ruin set out making little room for error. Ruin is now ready for the assault.

Chapter 5: The Kill
The Fall of a Great Power

Ruin rigged a bomb to gain Greavous's attention. The bomd blew creating mass chaos, Ruin slipped into the temple using the sand. Now inside Ruin stealthily took care of Greavous's guard. He finally made it to Greavous's main chamber. Ruin ticked in the door Greavous was in bed with a few enslaved women. Greavous jumped to his feet but Ruin shot him down before he stood completely. Ruin stood waiting. Greavous rose "Well you found me Ruin. Now what are you going to do kill me." Greavous chuckled. ruin's eyes turned blood red "That's exactly what I'm going to do." Ruin charged Greavous Kneeing him in the head. Greavous flew through the wall and landed in a shop. Greavous turned demon and burst into flames. Ruin pulled all the power he could muster. Ruin rose into the air his hat flow off, his long hair fluttered in the wind he created. Ruin flew down to Greavous and punched him in the gut, Greavous countered with a knee to Ruins head. Ruin flew into another building destroying it. Greavous gave chase and upper cut Ruin in the stomach Ruin stumbled back and lashed out sending a flurry of punches to Greavou's body, and finished with a boot to his chest. Greavous flew into a building that house explosives. The building blew up and sent chunks flying into near by building that crumbled. Ruin rushed Greavous they exchange blows ending with Greavous sending Ruin flying into the fort wall. Ruin stood breathing heavy.

Greavous stopped a yard away from Ruin "Your slowing already?" Ruin grinned "Nope just needed to catch my second breath." Ruin took off his duster throwing it to the ground. Ruin rushed Greavous. Greavous beat Ruin around like a rag doll. Ruin flow so many times he started to think he was a cloud. Greavous walked over to Ruin's battered body "You are pathetic. They send you after me. Ha! You will be a lesson to them." Greavous extended his nails into claws, glancing down at Ruin "Well its time for your death." Ruin thought of his former life and of the love he gave his soul for. Ruin jumped out of the way just in time to miss Greavous's claws. Ruin stood hunched over holding up one of his revolvers. Ruin emptied the chamber into Greavous. Greavous flew back a few feet and landed on his back. Ruin holstered his revolver and limped over to Greavous. Greavous jumped up and punched Ruin in the face Ruin went spiraling into the ground. Greavous laughed "You almost had me. If you were to use both of those damn weapons, you could of killed me, but that wasn't the case." Ruin mutterd "Damn you. I..... Will... Kill...yo.." Greavous cut him off with a kick to the ribs.

Ruin flopped over coughing up blood. His mind raced and then it went blank as a voice entered it. It was Julia's voice saying "Come back to me Ruin." Ruin muttered "Julia... Julia I can't beat him." Greavous bent down "Ah... Julia that's the Vampire bitch isn't it. I'll kill her soon." Ruin's eyes turned such a blood red that they were almost black "Greavous! You will do no such thing!" Ruin jumped to his feet, his true potential has been met. Ruins hunter branding spread all over his right arm. Ruin shook the ground with his power "You will never get close to Julia!" Ruin pulled his revolver from its holster and filled the chamber with all his hate, and all his love for Julia in to one shot. Ruin rushed Grevous who was stunned by the new found power Ruin tapped into. Ruin sent his knee into Greavous's gut causing him to hunch over grasping his mid section. Ruin appeared behind Greavous and spoke "Greavous, your a fool. Your time hear is up. See you in HELL!" Ruin pulled the trigger and Greavous fell slowly to the ground his body shook as it turned to a black smog. The smog seeped into the sand and down to hell where Greavous reformed and now will spend many lives in nothing.

Ruin used the rest of his power and returned to Blood Hollow. Ruin walked up to the door of her mansion. The door opened and Julia leaped into his arms. Moments later the sky turned black and two figures one white with blue eyes, and the other a black with red eyes they spoke together as the same being "Ruin... You have done well... You now have a choice.... stay here and be a normal man... or come with us and keep your power..." Ruin powers up to full potential "I choose nether. I am my own man.
